Introduction

Indian Institute of Tourism and Management (IITM) is a registered society formed in 1994 with the principal objective of professionally empowering the youth. IITM is one of the pioneer institutions in South India to initiate short-term courses in Hotel Management. The eleven years of professional existence has made IITM one of the premier educational institution with an outstanding reputation of working among weaker sections of society and empowering them for gainful employment. Hundreds of students of IITM have secured jobs in various capacities in Food, Catering and Hotel Management establishments throughout the world.

Indian Institute of Tourism and Management has well established training centers in Kerala and Tamilnadu and more centers shall be opened to meet the target of training and placing 3000 professionals a year in the hospitality sector. The Education Programmes of IITM is monitored and jointly certified by Kerala Institute of Labour and Employment (An autonomous body constituted by the Govt. of Kerala) in the state of Kerala.
