IITM joined hands
with Kerala Institute of Labour and Employment (KILE) to provide
Educational programmes throughout the state of Kerala under
IITM-KILE project.
KERALA INSTITUTE OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT (KILE)
The
Kerala Institute of Labour and Employment
(KILE) is an
autonomous body constituted by the Government of Kerala in 1978 for
the purpose of training and research in labour and allied subjects.
The institute is governed by the General body and the Executive
council.
The Hon’ble
Minister for Labour, Government of Kerala is the President of the
General Body.
Apart from the
President, the General body consists of 30 official and non-official
members consisting of ;

standing in the field of Labour, Labour Economics etc. as Vice

The Executive
Council of KILE consists of 11 members. The Vice-President of the
General Body is the Chairman of the executive Council and Executive
Director of the Institute is the Member Secretary of the Executive
Council.
The Executive
Director who is the chief Executive of the Institute is appointed by
Government of Kerala.
The Institute has
organised hundreds of training programmes addressed for trade union
representatives, worker representatives, management representatives,
government officers on various topics benefiting thousands of
personnel. The Institute has also undertaken many research projects
on labour and employment and has many published reports to its
credit. The Government of Kerala also entrusts various projects to
the institute.
KILE, an
organisation with over 25 years of expertise in training, education
and employment will be monitoring and jointly certifying the educational programmes conducted by IITM in the state of
Kerala.
